Breath-taking game drives as you search for the big five animals awaits you, the beautiful savannah plains that sprawl over spectacular views among others.
You can do this safari all year round but the best time is in dry seasons of June to August and January to February. Visiting the Ngorongoro craters is a massive experience where you will spot several water-loving creatures such as birds like kingfishers, fish eagles, hamerkop among others and mammals like hippos, crocodiles among others.
Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Serengeti from Arusha
Meet and greet the experienced driver-guide at either the hotel in Arusha or at the airport that will transfer you to Serengeti national park. You will pass through a multi-culture village which is a home of over 120 local tribes in Tanzania.
This park is famous for the annual migration of wildebeests and thousands of zebras. It covers an area of 14,750sq.km and it’s home to numerous wildlife like the impalas, leopards, black rhinos, cheetah, elephants and several bird species including the grey crowned crane, superb starling, black eagles among others. You will check in the accommodation facility on arrival.
Day 2: Full day game drive in Serengeti N/park
Discover the beauty of the park as you take part in a game drive through the plains of the national park to spot more of its wildlife.
Search for the big five, cheetahs, hyenas, warthogs among others in the savannahs, witness the migration of wildebeests as they migrate to Masai Mara following the rains and to search for fresh grass.
Day 3: Serengeti to Ngorongoro conversation crater
Drive out of the park before breakfast following the tracks of lions in case you heard them at night. Look through the plains and the acacia trees as you search for cheetahs and leopards to where they could be hiding. More game will be spotted such as the zebras, buffalos, giraffes among others.
Find your way to Ngorongoro conservation area with spectacular views favouring much wildlife such as African buffaloes, black rhinos, lions, wildebeests, elands, blue monkeys, zebras, hyenas, Thomson gazelles, waterbucks, Oribis, leopards, among others.
Birds like grey crowned crane, augur buzzards, vultures, superb starling, weavers, and eagles among others. you will take an evening game drive in the plains and later check in your accommodation facility.
Day 4: Depart to Arusha
Enjoy the sunset of Ngorongoro area as you take breakfast and check out of the hotel room, and head for a short game drive in the park. The Ngorongoro crater area present a large population of mammals including wildebeests, antelopes, zebras, buffalos all in herds and also hyenas and a pride of lions that are regularly spotted.
And later, proceed with the journey to Arusha and arrive in the late afternoon, drop off at the airport or at the hotel to mark the end of the tour.
