Details of the safari
Day one: Pickup and Nairobi city tour
On arrival at the airport, look out for the smartest gentleman having your name tag on a placard and find a suitable place to sit and listen to some facts about this existing 9 days safari in Kenya; East Africa’s number one travel destination. After the briefing session, you will have 2-3 hours of Nairobi city tour whereby your eyes will be glued on the modern buildings, locals carrying on with their business, and the unending street noise.
You will visit the museum to learn about the countries historical features and the local markets to buy some essential items for the tour. Lunch will be served in the city whereas dinner will be in the hotel
Day two: Depart Nairobi for Tsavo West national park – evening game drive
Enjoy your first meal of the day early in the morning before checking out of the lodge for a drive to Tsavo West national park, one of Kenya’s most visited national parks harboring a good selection of wildlife and beautiful sceneries. This epic drive lasts for 4-5 hours on a smooth road with undulating Hills, green plantations, and busy towns.
You arrive during lunch and proceed for a mouth-watering meal before embarking on a 3-4 hours’ evening game drive in search of both the prey’s and predators namely lions, leopards, buffaloes, Oribis, hyenas, waterbucks, unique bird species and so much more in the wilderness. After the adventure, drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day three: Day game drive and hike the roaring rocks
At sunrise, enjoy energy-giving African Tea, followed by a 4-5 hours’ game viewing in the enormous Tsavo West national park; home to a wide range of flora and fauna, beautiful sceneries and several wonders.
Let your camera grab for you the image of the giant elephant or Buffalos grazing, the giant giraffes pulling down the tall leaves, the antelopes monitoring where their enemies are and the unique bird species flying from one rare tree to another.
Thereafter, you will have a mouth-watering picnic lunch, followed by a hike to the peak of the roaring rocks that attained their nickname from the rushing wind through it. While here, you will enjoy some great views of the sunset, Tsavo and the neighboring places. Dinner and overnight come last in today’s program.
Day four: Depart Tsavo for Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, you will say goodbye to those who hosted you for the two days and depart for Amboseli national park with an en-route game drive. Chances are that you will spot a good selection of mammals heading to the field to graze or returning for a rest as you proceed with you drive to the Park, situated beneath the highest mountain in Africa; Mount Kilimanjaro.
Your driver-guide will have an en-route lunch stopover, as well as show you some of the beautiful landscapes, rocks, and plantations spread on the way. As you arrive in the evening, you will take the opportunity of resting in the beautiful gardens and by the swimming pool as dinner is prepared and overnight waits.
Day five: Game drive and cultural encounter
At the crack of dawn, you will leave your room to have a clear view of the peak of Mountain Kilimanjaro before the sunlight clears off its snow. After settling for breakfast, followed by a rewarding 4-5 hours’ game drive which gives draws you closer to the elephants, Buffaloes, Zebras, antelopes, and other mammals, not forgetting the rare bird species and unique tree species.
After the Game viewing exercise, drive back to the lodge for lunch and refreshment, followed by a visit to the Masai people who will excite you will leave your ribs aching because of their mind-blowing songs, thrilling dances, unforgettable stories, art and craft, and their architecture.
This day comes to an end after enjoying dinner and retiring for a nap.
Day six: Depart Amboseli for Masai Mara national park
Depart Amboseli national park after breakfast to Masai Mara national park, a true wilderness in Africa known for her biodiversity, riches of flora and fauna, and as virgin wilderness. This is an extension of Serengeti national park in Tanzania and a co-host of the famous Wildebeest migration that takes place in June to early September.
As you cross the golden savannah plains, your driver guide will stop for photography and another stopover will be at the lodge for lunch and later in the park for enroute game viewing experience.
Upon reaching the park, you will have a small rest, before visiting the wilderness in search of night hunters through the help of spot lights. Look out for lions, leopards, hyenas, rhinos, and many more relaxing by the hills as they trace for prey.
Day seven: Full day game drive in Masai Mara N/park
At approximately 06:00hours, your driver-guide will pick up for a 3-4 hours’ game drive around the busy savannah grassland to catch the morning risers up for their duty. This day you can be lucky enough to encounter a hyena feasting on the remaining caucus, and the leopard and lions hunting.
However, the common members in this wilderness include warthogs, elephants, zebras, cheetahs, antelopes, buffalos, wildebeest, and giraffes among others. The birds in this paradise include; vultures, hawks and falcons, Kori bustard, flamingoes, and sunbirds among others
Day eight: Depart to Lake Nakuru national park
This day starts with a very appetizing cup of coffee, followed by departure to yet another remarkable destination; Lake Nakuru national park, home to one of the world’s sought after land birds, the flamingoes.
Enjoy the drive while listening to the guide’s exciting stories, watching the beautiful sceneries, and waving back to the locals. Your lunch will be enroute whereas dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day nine: Morning game drive and departure
At daybreak, breakfast is served before you join your driver-guide for a rewarding 4-5 hours’ game viewing opportunity in the gifted Lake Nakuru national park. This famous destination is home to Buffalos, elephants, antelopes, cheetahs, zebras, giraffes, the hard to find lions and leopards among others, the sought after flamingos and the rare tree species.
Take morning photos with the flamingos, herons, kingfishers and shoebill storks while the early risers come to the lake shores to quench their thirst.
Afterwards, enjoy a bush breakfast followed by early lunch before checking out of the lodge for a 4-5 hours’ drive to the airport in Nairobi for your onward flight.
