Uganda is endorsed with many attractions that can only be found in this country in the whole world and among others are the Murchison falls which is the world’s strongest waterfall, diverse culture of over 50 tribes, mountain gorillas and the chimpanzees who are our fellow cousins. While on this luxury safari, encounter the big five animals, involve yourself in a game drive and boat cruise, trekking the primates among others.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the hotel in Kampala city
Our tour representative will welcome you at Entebbe international airport and then quickly offer you a briefing about Uganda like about the weather, population and history, culture among others. you will then transfer to the hotel in Kampala but you can visit the Entebbe reptile village depending on your arrival time.
Day 2: Kampala to Murchison falls National Park and stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary
After your delicious breakfast on your room balcony, you will start a journey to Murchison falls national park. This park is the largest national park in the country covering an area of 3,893sq.km and famous for the world’s powerful water fall-Murchison falls.
You will enjoy much wildlife in the northern sector such as elephants, leopards, buffaloes, Oribis, Jackson hartebeests, bushbucks among others, giraffes, hippos in Albert Nile among others. On the arrival in the park, check-in the accommodation that was booked for your dinner.
A stopover at Ziwa rhino sanctuary in Nakasongola will be made where you will be able to trek the remaining white rhinos in Uganda. You should know that the rhinos were last trekked in the government of Idi Amin Dada and these were recently brought from South Africa. The trek will take 2 hours and you will be able to spot other animals like the Uganda kobs, Vervet monkeys among others.
Take your enroute lunch and then proceed with the journey to Murchison falls national park. Arrive and check in the luxurious accommodation facility in the northern sector.
Day 3: Game drive and Launch cruise
A game drive in the northern sector will expose one to abundant plant and animal life such as lions, leopards, cheetahs, herds of buffaloes, giraffes, zebras, warthogs and elephants among others.
The game drive will take you to the hippo pool on the Albert Nile where you will enjoy the fruits as you watch hippos and other birds. In the afternoon, head for a boat cruise on river Nile where you will be exposed to several crocodiles and hippos plus buffalos, warthogs, elephants, and antelopes on the banks of the river.
The cruise will take you to the bottom of the falls and then another hiking experience to the top of the falls. You will then head to the booked safari lodge in the southern sector.
Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park
Transfer to Kibale national park home of 13 primates and mostly referred to as the primate capital of the world. Among the primates of this park are the chimpanzees our cousins, L’Hoest’s monkeys, Vervet monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys among others. Other attractions include over 450 bird species including the rare species of green breasted pitta, the great blue turacos, and palm nut vultures among others.
The journey is rewarding as you pass through the tea plantations, banana plantations, hills and valleys among others. You will have your lunch enroute at Gardens restaurant in Fort-Portal tourism city before you proceed to the park.
Day 5: Chimpanzee tracking and Isunga cultural community visit
Traverse to Kanyanchu information centre, for a short instruction that will guide you while trekking the chimpanzees after enjoying breakfast. after an armed park ranger will lead you to the forest to search for our cousins.
This can take between 2-4 hours to drive through the forest and only an hour will be granted to you after locating these beautiful primates. Other attractions that will be spotted are the L’Hoest’s monkeys, black and white colobus monkeys, Vervet monkeys, olive baboons, red-checked Mangabeys among others.
After your lunch, visit Isunga cultural community and learn more about the Batooro and Bakiga cultures. You will also get entertained with their traditional dances, meals and also take a community walks to explore.
Here, you will meet the local brewers and if you are interested, you can taste the local banana wine. Disembark to the luxury safari lodge for your dinner and overnight.
Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park and afternoon boat cruise
Enjoy a transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park after breakfast through Ndali-Kasenda craters. This park is the second largest national park and famous for its tree-climbing lions that are always found in the Ishasha sector.
It is also a birders haven with over 500 bird species the black- ramped buttonquail, Verreaux’s, African skimmer and many more.
Other animals are spotted like the herds of elephants, buffalos, warthogs, spotted hyenas, crocodiles, hippos among others. On the arrival, you will take your lunch and then head for the after boat cruise on Kazinga channel to explore more. Check in the luxury safari lodge then be served with dinner
Day 7: Morning game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via Ishasha sector
Head for an early game drive in the savannah plains of Queen Elizabeth national park where you will spot animals like the spotted hyenas, lions, elephants, buffalos among others. Then head to Ishasha sector for your lunch as you take your eyes in the trees searching for the rare tree-climbing lions.
After head to Bwindi impenetrable national park in south-western Uganda a world heritage site harbouring half of the remaining mountain gorillas. It has other attractions like waterfalls, the Batwa and Bakiga cultures, bird species, plant life among others. On the arrival, check-in and relax as you prepare for your dinner.
Day 8: Gorilla habituation experience
Enjoy a gorilla habituation experience on this day after your breakfast. You will first head for a briefing at the park headquarters where you will first head for a briefing at the park headquarters where you will be given instructions to follow while habituating.
The activity can take 4-6 hours but you will be given 4 hours as you are in their presence. You will experience them play, groom their babies, among others. You will trek back and head for you late lunch and then relax at the lodge.
Day 9: Transfer to Kampala capital city and a stopover at the Uganda equator
After an early breakfast, transverse through the Kigezi terraced highlands and pass via Mbarara where you will have your first stopover for refreshments then proceed with the journey and then another one at the Uganda equator where you will be served with late lunch, get into experiment ad then buy yourself and loved ones some souvenirs.
You will later on proceed and find your way to Kampala and you will be dropped at a luxury hotel in Kampala.
Day 10: Visit the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre and drop off at the Airport
After breakfast, you will head to the Entebbe and if time allows, you will visit the Uganda wildlife education centre former Entebbe Zoo where you will be exposed to many wildlife in captive.
Among other attractions are the big five, the big cats, giraffes, birds like ostrich, peacock, the crested crane, parrots among others. Then after your lunch, you will be dropped at the airport in Entebbe which will be the end of the 10 days luxury safari in Uganda.
