In this 9 days Tanzania northern circuit safari, you will explore Tanzania’s finest safari destinations with a wide range of flora and fauna, security, classic accommodation, and rare treasures. You will spot the tree climbing lions at Lake Manyara national park, visit Arusha national park, and watch Africa’s big five at Ngorongoro crater; the world’s largest crater, head to Tarangire national park (wildlife hub) and the Serengeti national park; a famous host of the annual wildebeest migration from June to September. Other activities include boat cruise, birding and cultural encounters with the Masai people. The trip starts from Arusha town and ends in Kilimanjaro international airport.
Day 1: Pickup – Arusha national park
Following your landing at the Airport, our driver-guide assigned to take you around the northern circuit of Tanzania will gladly welcome you with a warm smile. After which he will elaborate on the movements during the tour, and the destinations to be visited, plus any other thing you will need to know before heading for lunch and a 3-4 hours’ drive to Arusha national park; one of Tanzania’s gifted tourist attraction and the nearest to Arusha city. Your dinner and overnight will be at the lodge either in or outside the park
Day 2: Game drive and nature walk
Very early in the morning, you will greet your intestines with the first meal of the day, followed by a four to five-hour game drive in the wilderness of Arusha national park, which offers visitors an opportunity of watching different predators such as elephants, zebras, giraffes, buffalos and antelopes among others, not forgetting the fascinating Landscape, the rare bird species and plant species.
After the first four to five hours of the game drive, have a lunch break to enjoy your mouthwatering Lunch meal before having another 2-3 hour guided nature walk around the park while watching the stunning backdrop of Mount Meru, as well as the different primates residing in this place. The end is concluded with a tasty dinner and a peaceful night at the lodge.
Day 3: Game drive and depart Arusha national park for Tarangire national park
A delicious cup of coffee is a perfect way of starting this day, followed by a brief game drive in search of some of the mammals you might have missed in the previous day. Thereafter, you will check out of the lodge and follow a smooth road yet with the best food for the eyes such as the rolling hills, flora, the citizens waving, and the cool weather among others.
The journey might last for approximately 4-6 hours with an en-route Lunch. Find dinner and a cozy bed at the lodge where you will rest as the next day later unveils.
Day 4: Full day game drive
After breakfast, you will spend your day driving to the different corners of the park in search of different mammals such as lions, elephants, hyenas, cheetah, gazelles, wildebeests, buffalos, and giraffe among others which have been recorded in this beautiful destination.
You will then have a lunch break, before proceeding with the experience for the other two or more hours before driving back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5: Depart for Lake Manyara national park – evening boat cruise
wakeup early in the morning for a yummy breakfast before checking out of the lodge for a transfer to Lake Manyara national park, a 4-5 hours’ epic drive, while traversing eye-catching sceneries, scattered homesteads, and the flora.
Your arrival will be in the afternoon after which there will be lunch and then a boat cruise at the lake that reveals to you the water habitats such as the school of hippos, crocodiles, and some mammals quenching their thirst. Retire from today’s activity with dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 6: Morning game drive and transfer to Serengeti national park
At dawn, a cup of coffee will work before joining your driver-guide for a 3-4 hours of remarkable game viewing exercise in the vast savanna grassland in search for the rare tree-climbing lions either hunting or resting on the tree branches, as well as other mammals such as zebras, buffalos, elephants, the wildebeests, antelopes and many others, not forgetting the unique tree and bird species.
Thereafter, you will then return to the lodge for early lunch before embarking on a 3-5 hours’ drive to Serengeti national park; one destination on the planet earth that speaks for itself. The park is adorned with a wide range of biodiversity, flora and fauna, stunning landscape, and cool climate. On arrival, you will check-in to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 7: Full day game drive and Masai Mara cultural experience
Breakfast opens today’s chapter, followed by a 4-5 hours’ rewarding Game drive in this gigantic wilderness which harbors everything you know resides in the wild; right from the mammals, flora, the rare bird species, reptiles, primates to the beautiful landscape.
It is in Serengeti national park where visitors will witness an event in the wild; the annual wildebeest migration from June to early September with millions of wildebeests, accompanied by zebras and other gazelles from Serengeti national park to Masai Mara in Kenya, in search of fresh foliage and water.
Other mammals you will be lucky to spot include lions, cheetahs, leopards, buffaloes, antelopes, giraffes and so much more. However, spotting the big cats is by probability because they hide in thick bushes and roam a lot in this vast land.
After the game drive, go for a delicious lunch meal and refreshment, before an evening cultural encounter with the Masai warriors who will show you their traditional huts, local tools such as hoes, seating stool, and sticks among others, as well as exciting you with thrilling dances and exciting stories. Day 8: Arrive at Ngorongoro conservation area and hike to the crater rim
After breakfast, depart Serengeti national park for another world wonder; the Ngorongoro crater, known for the world’s largest a caldera and host to Africa’s big five mammals (elephants, rhinos, lions, buffaloes and leopards). You will have an exciting 3-4 hours’ drive with an en-route game drive and catching the views of undulating hills and plantations.
Upon arriving at the park, enjoy a delicious lunch before hiding for a hike to the crater rim, an adventure that draws you closer to the world’s largest land crater, enables you to take unforgettable photos and watch different mammals, primates, flora and birds in their hideout. Enjoy a sunset drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Game drive and departure
Very early in the morning after breakfast, spend 3-4 hours exploring Africa’s big 5 (leopards, Buffalos, elephants, lion, and rhinos) co-existing with mammals such as giraffes, zebras, warthogs, cheetahs, and many more, bird, primates and unique tree species in this charming destination.
After, drive back to the lodge for refreshment and then checkout for a transfer to your hotel or airport to find a flight to your next destination.
