8 Days Kenya Tanzania Safari

Detailed safari

Day 1: Nairobi to Lake Nakuru National Park

 Our safari starts as soon as you land at the airport with a warm welcome and a detailed briefing by your driver guide who will take you through the itinerary, explain a few things and answer your questions before embarking on the journey.

The drive to Lake national park lasts for approximately 3-4 hours while crossing busy towns, watching the undulating hills, the natives of the place carry on with their daily chores, and the flourishing vegetation.

You will enjoy a mouth-watering lunch as soon as you arrive at the lodge and then head to the lakeshore to watch and take photos of the flamingos, shoebill, kingfisher, the egrets and other birds plus mammals rest, fly or quench their thirst. Thereafter, have a sunset drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 2: Entire day exploring Lake Nakuru National Park

A very heavy breakfast comes first in the program today before packing your Lunch and other items such as a camera, water bottle, and binoculars for a whole day exploration of Lake Nakuru national park. One of the prime safari destinations in Kenya, receiving hundreds of visitors from all over the world to watch the world’s largest land bird the flamingoes and other mammals.

You will spend the first 4-5 hours of the day game viewing with hopes of spotting different lions, buffaloes, elephants, cheetahs, zebras, antelopes and warthogs among others roaming in search for pasture and prey.

Thereafter, you will have a picnic lunch break before proceeding with the Game viewing exercise for another 2-3 hours around the lake; looking out for water lovers such as the flamingoes, waterbuck, hippos, and crocodiles among others, before driving back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Nature walks and transfer to Masai Mara national park

At 07:00hrs, you will have one or two hours guided nature walk as you enjoy the morning vitamin D, stretch your legs, admire the landscape, and take as many selfies as possible.

After the walk, return to the lodge for breakfast, and then checkout for a 4-5 hour drive to Masai Mara national park, one of the top safari destinations on earth; with unmatched biodiversity of flora and fauna. Your lunch will be served en-route whereas dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Morning Game drive and afternoon cultural encounter

At daybreak when breakfast is done; join your driver-guide to the vast savannah grassland for a 4-5 hours’ game viewing exercise that exposes you to not only the beautiful scenery, rare bird species such as the flamingos, ostriches, marabou stocks and egret, but both the large and small mammals such as the leopards, cheetahs, lions, buffalos, elephants, zebras, antelopes, giraffes, warthogs, wildebeests and rhinos.

Masai Mara national park is Kenya’s top visited destination and home to a variety of wildlife including Africa’s big five (Elephants, buffalos, Rhinos, lions, and leopards), rare tree species, aquatic life, and unique avian species.

Lunch follows the game drive, and then an afternoon 2-3 hours’ visit to the Masai people who will take you through enjoyable stories, thrilling dances, and amazing songs up to the time you will drive back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Transfer to Serengeti national park

At sunrise, you will depart Masai Mara national park after breakfast, for Serengeti national park in Tanzania; home to the world’s highest large mammals in the wild. Upon arriving at the border post, you will verify your documents as well as having lunch in the nearby town before proceeding with your journey while watching the jaw-dropping landscape and an abundant flora spread across this fascinating nation.

You will drive into the park at a slow speed while sighting some few mammals grazing or resting in the wilderness. Check-in to your lodge for dinner and overnight as you wait for the next day’s activities.

Day 6: Full day of Serengeti game drive

A full day game drive is the most appropriate way of spending this day after morning breakfast. You join your driver guide who will traverse the different sections of the park in the quest for the mammals such as the buffaloes, wildebeest, lions, elephants, cheetahs, Hippos, Hyenas, Antelopes, warthogs, giraffes, zebras and wild dogs among others grazing or hunting.

After the first 4-5 hours of game viewing, you will have a Lunch break before proceeding with the evening search to the time of returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Transfer to Ngorongoro area – hike to the crater rim

After enjoying a relaxed breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and Depart Serengeti national for Ngorongoro crater with an en-route game viewing and photography.

Arrival at Ngorongoro crater will be at Lunchtime when a delicious meal will be given to you before going for a rewarding 2-3 hour top of the crater hike. This is the largest caldera on earth, harboring millions of mammals, unique bird species and bird species.

As you explore the crater rim, expect to sight any of Africa’s big five (lions, leopards, buffaloes, rhinos and elephants) in their hideout; as well as different primates. You will wave this day with a delicious dinner meal and a nap at your lodge.

Day 8: Morning game drive and departure

At 06:00hrs, you will have an amazing 3-4 hours’ game drive in the vast Jungle of Ngorongoro crater in search for different primates, rare bird species, unique tree species and several mammals such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and elephants among others roaming in this beautiful wilderness.

Thereafter, return for breakfast before checking out of the lodge for a drive to Kilimanjaro airport for a flight or to your lodge.
