Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Travel to Amboseli from Nairobi city
The pick from the hotel will be at 0800hours after your breakfast by the driver-guide, who will make a transfer to Amboseli national park. It covers an area of 3,000 square kilometres and it is a home of Mount Kilimanjaro which is 5,895m height above the sea level and its Africa’s highest peak.
The large concentration of wildlife occurs here in the dry season which makes it popular for the tourist destination. It’s a hub for big game and great scenic view and the name was got from Lake Amboseli that floods during heavy rains of the year. On the arrival, you will take a short game drive as you head to the luxury lodge.
Day 2: Full-day tour in Amboseli national park
A full day game drive that takes place in this park is rewarding as you discover abundant wildlife such as the herds of elephants, Burchell’s zebras, white-bearded wildebeests, elands, buffaloes, hartebeests, hippos, giraffes, wild dogs, waterbucks, jackals, Thomson’s and Grant’s gazelles and impalas. Also over 400 bird species are available for bird watchers.
Day 3: Amboseli to Maasai Mara national reserve
Leave with your packed lunch after breakfast gets into a short game drive through the park as you head to Maasai Mara national park. It is situated in South western Kenya comprised of golden savannah vegetation with abundant wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras and hippos.
Millions of wildebeests and zebras traverse these plains during their annual migration. The park is surrounded by Maasai people and are believed to be the original inhabitants of Maasai Mara n/park. The park is crossed by Mara river and Talek with rolling hills and grassy plain landscape.
Day 4 & 5: Maasai Mara full day
In these two days of day 4 & 5, you will discover Maasai Mara through full day game drives where you spot several wildlife in the form of flora and fauna. Among others include; lions, cheetahs, elephants, zebras, hippos and wildebeests.
Also, have a chance to visit the Maasai people who live around the park and you will be entertained by their traditional dance and music, taste their traditional meals among others. Late in the evening, you will head back to your accommodation facility.
Day 6: Transfer to Nakuru national park
After breakfast, transfer to Lake Nakuru National Park which is situated inside the Great Rift Valley next to Nakuru Town on open wooden grassland. You will have lunch and straight away head for an evening game drive.
The park harbours several animals such as Rhinos, Hyenas, Lions, Zebras and more than 300 species of birds including the famous thousands of flamingos. Upon arrival, you will discover its beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife through evening game drive and then check in the luxury tented camp or safari lodge.
Day 7: Fly back to Nairobi and drop off at the airport
Depending on your scheduled time, you will fly to Nairobi immediately after your breakfast or in the mid-afternoon where you will wave to your safari guide while boarding a flight back home.
